Site and chat window
The chat window appears on your website after you paste the code once: a visitor clicks the button in the corner of the page and writes to you, and the message arrives in «Tickets».
Support site
A support site is a card in your account that brings together the chat window, channels and tickets of one project. Your account creates the first site when you connect the product. If you entered your website address at that point, it's already added on the «Domains» tab.
To create another support site, go to «Customer support» → «Sites» → «Create site»:
- «Name» is visible only to you and your colleagues;
- «Locales» are the site's languages, «Primary locale» is the default language;
- «Ticket number prefix» — with the SHOP prefix, numbers look like SHOP-10452;
- «Store» is optional: a site with a store is also served by that store's employees. You can't change the store after the site is created.
Create a separate support site for each project or brand: it gets its own chat window code, channels and ticket folders. How many sites you can create depends on your plan.
How to add the chat window
- Open the support site and the «Widget» tab.
- At the bottom, in the «Embed code» card, click «Copy embed code».
- Paste the code into the HTML of the pages where you need the chat window — the easiest way is the common site template, like a Yandex Metrica counter.
- Open the «Domains» tab, click «Add host», choose the «Page with widget» type and enter your website address, for example
shop.example.ru. The*.example.rumask covers all subdomains.
Once hosts are specified, the chat window opens only on their pages, and someone else's site with your code won't show it.
If your website restricts third-party scripts with a Content Security Policy (CSP), allow https://help.invoicebox.ru in it for script-src, connect-src and frame-src.
How to check that the window works
Open a page of your website: the chat window button appears in the corner. Click it, open the chat and send a test message. It appears in «Customer support» → «Tickets» with the «New» status. Reply to it — the reply arrives in the same chat window.
No button? Check three things:
- the «Widget enabled» switch is on, on the «Widget» tab;
- the code is pasted on this very page;
- the page's host is on the «Domains» tab.
If the support site has a cookie policy, the window first shows a cookie consent banner, and the chat button appears after the visitor responds.
Chat window settings
Everything the visitor sees is set up on the «Widget» tab. Changes take effect after you click «Save».
- «Button» — the corner of the page, offsets from the edges and «Button animation»: with «Pulse», waves spread from the button until the visitor opens the chat.
- «Chat window» — background, «Title», «Subtitle» and «Greeting». If the subtitle is empty, the window shows how quickly you usually reply — once there are enough tickets for statistics.
- «Quick questions» — ready-made phrases: the visitor sends them to an operator with one click. Questions with ready-made answers are set up separately — AI assistant and FAQ.
- «Visitor name and email» — don't ask, offer after the first message, or require before it. The email is useful if the visitor closes the page before you reply.
- «Sign in with Invoicebox ID» — turn it on only if your website's visitors are Invoicebox users.
- «AI agent tools (WebMCP)» — the chat window is clear to AI agents in the visitor's browser. Learn more — AI agents on your website.
- «Button menu» — what the button opens: chat, Telegram, MAX, VK, phone, email, a help article or a link. The «Site Telegram bot» and «Site MAX bot» items lead to the bot you connected on the «Channels» tab.
Colors, the logo and the window icon are set on the «Brand» tab. If the site has several languages, switch the language above the blocks of the «Widget» tab and translate the texts of the window, the cookie banner and the menu.
Personal data and cookies
On the «General» tab, in the «Personal data» block, add links to your website's documents:
- «Personal data processing policy» — without it, the chat window doesn't ask for a name and email, and form submissions from your website aren't accepted;
- «Consent text» — if your consent is a separate document;
- «Cookie policy» — with it, the window first shows a cookie consent banner. The banner's look and text are in the «Cookie banner» block of the «Widget» tab.
The visitor ticks the consent to personal data processing in the window themselves. You can set your own consent wording on the «Widget» tab — the window adds the document links to it automatically.
