Refund with a promised payment or guarantee fund
If a promised paymentPromised payment Confirms your order before you actually pay: you promise to pay the invoice, and the supplier starts fulfilling the order right away. For details, see Promised payment. → or a guarantee fund was used for the purchase, the refund is issued after you pay the issued invoice and the blocked funds are released.
Standard scenario
- Pay the invoice issued to your organization.
- Once the payment is received, the funds frozen on the bank card or in the guarantee fundGuarantee fund Your organization's deposit with Invoicebox that lets you pay for orders with a deferral. For details, see Guarantee fund. → are unblocked.
- From there, the standard refund procedure applies: the supplier confirms the cancellation, and Invoicebox transfers the money.
If the invoice was not paid within the deferral period
A special rule applies to promised payments. If you did not pay the invoice within the deferral period (up to 4 days), the blocked amount is charged to the bank card in full. In this case:
- you no longer need to pay the organization's invoice;
- the refund is issued following the standard procedure;
- the money goes to the bank card that was charged, not to the company's account.
