Promised payment
A promised paymentPromised payment Confirms your order before you actually pay: you promise to pay the invoice, and the supplier starts fulfilling the order right away. For details, see Promised payment. → confirms your order right away and gives you up to 4 days to pay the invoice by bank transfer. The tool is available to legal entities and sole proprietors (ИП) registered with Invoicebox.Business.
How it works
- When paying for an order, you choose promised payment and enter bank card details — any card works, even a personal one.
- The system temporarily holds the order amount on the card. This confirms your obligations; it is not a charge.
- The supplier confirms the order immediately — you receive your tickets, booking or goods without waiting for a bank transfer.
- You pay the invoice by bank transfer within the deferral period — up to 4 days.
- Once the invoice is paid, the funds on the card are released automatically.
If the invoice is not paid on time, the held amount is charged to the card in full.
When it is useful
Promised payment helps with urgent purchases when an invoice would not clear the bank in time:
- booking flight tickets;
- booking hotels for business trips;
- ordering food delivery to the office.
You received an SMS about a charge instead of a hold
This is normal: banks show a hold on funds in SMS messages and their apps the same way as a charge.
- Do not worry — the money is held, not charged.
- Once you pay the invoice, the amount will be returned automatically.
- If in doubt, call your bank's hotline and check whether the amount was charged or held.
How to release the funds on the card
After the invoice is paid, the hold is released automatically. The timing depends on the bank: from a few minutes to a few days.
If the funds have not been released:
- Call your bank and check whether there are any active holds on the card.
- If the bank confirms the hold is still in place, contact Invoicebox support — via the online chat on the website or at
c-support@invoicebox.ru.
Note
The release speed is determined by the bank that issued the card. Invoicebox support cannot speed up this process.
